Who We Are
About ORBC
Boxing as a
Tool for Life
Ongata Rongai Boxing Club was founded in 2014 with a vision that goes beyond the ring. We exist to use boxing as a powerful tool to transform lives, strengthen the community, and develop disciplined, confident young people.
We are located in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County — a community we are deeply rooted in and committed to serving. Every young person who walks through our door receives more than boxing training. They receive mentorship, structure, and a sense of belonging.
At ORBC, we believe boxing is not about violence. It is a sport that teaches discipline, respect, self-control, and perseverance — values that help our athletes avoid destructive paths and become productive citizens who contribute positively to society.
Our Values
Discipline
Structure, consistency, and showing up — especially when you don't want to. That is the foundation of everything we build.
Respect
For your coaches, your training partners, and yourself. The culture inside ORBC is one of mutual respect — no exceptions.
Resilience
You will get knocked down — in the gym and in life. We train you to get back up. Every single time.
Community
From Ongata Rongai, for Ongata Rongai. The club is a social institution. We grow together.
Meet Coach Michael
Michael Ragot is the founder and head coach of Ongata Rongai Boxing Club. Since establishing the club in 2014, he has dedicated himself to developing not just fighters, but well-rounded young people who contribute positively to their community.
Under his guidance, ORBC has grown from a small local gym into a recognised boxing institution in Ongata Rongai — producing county champions, regional medallists, and nationally competitive athletes.
His coaching philosophy centres on technical fundamentals, mental strength, and genuine care for every athlete under his guidance regardless of level or ambition.
